Orthodontic care involves a significant commitment of time and energy both from the patient and our orthodontic team. So that we can maximize results in a timely manner, we ask that our patients keep the following in mind for their appointments.
- Prime Time - We have adjusted our schedule to see as many patients as possible during often-requested early morning and late afternoon hours: our "Prime Time" hours.
- Appointments for bonding or appliance delivery - These longer appointments are infrequent, and are scheduled in the mornings outside of Prime Time
- Appointments for routine adjustments and progress checks - These shorter appointments, generally scheduled 6-10 weeks in advance, can be Prime Time appointments. Appointments scheduled on shorter notice, or rescheduled appointments, may need to take place outside of Prime Time.
- Emergency/repair visits - These sometimes-lengthy appointments are scheduled outside Prime Time. Patients who come in for routine adjustments with broken appliances and/or brackets may need another appointment outside of Prime Time to ensure that the adjustment visit does not cause others to wait. Please call in advance to report broken appliances or lost retainers so we may reschedule your appointment or make adjustments to our schedule and save you a trip. (Broken brackets are not considered an emergency).
- Missed/cancelled appointments - To ensure no delay in treatment, we will need to reschedule within two weeks of the original appointment. Prime Time may/may not be available. Missed appointments will be charged a fee after the third occurrence.
- Late arrivals - We will do our best to work in patients who arrive late because of unforeseen problems or emergencies, but may need to reschedule in fairness to others who have arrived on time.
